Pakistan's cricket team faces a setback as key all-rounder Imad Wasim to miss out of the opening match against the United States in the T20 World Cup 2024.
Captain Babar Azam announced Imad's unavailability, stating that the all-rounder will rest due to a side strain.
Imad will not be available for the first match because of this muscle strain, Babar confirmed.
Despite this setback, the captain remains optimistic about Wasim's participation in the remaining matches of the tournament.
The Men in Green are set to begin their World Cup campaign against the US on June 6 (Thursday).
The US team previously won their opening match against Canada in the ongoing T20 World Cup.
