Indian Road Side Vendor Sell's "Paratha Cooked" In Diesel
A video from India has gone viral, showing a roadside food vendor frying a "paratha" in what he claims is diesel fuel. In the three-minute-and-thirteen-second clip shared on X and covered by various media outlets a cook at a dhaba in Chandigarh mentions using diesel for frying, stating that it enhances the taste.
The video depicts the cook pouring fuel from a tin can, confirming it to be diesel when questioned.
He proceeds to deep-fry a paratha until it turns dark, then proudly presents it to the camera. D
Despite claiming 35 years of experience and producing 200 to 300 parathas daily, the parathas are likely fried in reused oil.
