China Reported To Build a Lift That Will Take Humans To Space

Japanese construction company Obayashi Corporation is making strides towards realizing the "Space Elevator" dream by testing carbon nanotubes (CNTs).

This innovative project aims to connect Earth to outer space using a 96,000 km-long CNT cable.

The cable, equipped with wheeled lifts called "Climbers," will transport materials and people into space.

The construction process involves delivering building materials to low Earth orbit (LEO) via rocket and gradually assembling the space lift.

Once completed, the Space Elevator will offer a more affordable and sustainable means of space travel, with launch costs estimated at several million yen per launch.

Additionally, the project includes deploying a Space Solar Power System (SSPS) satellite at an altitude of 36,000 km to harness unlimited solar energy and transmit it wirelessly to Earth.
