For The First Time Onion Export From Pakistan Exceeds $210 Million
Pakistan’s onion exports have surpassed $210 million for the first time, with projections to reach $250 million by year-end, marking a historic milestone.
The Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters Association attributes this record to new market access, especially in the Far East and Middle East, due to the ban on Indian onion exports.
Previously, only orange exports had reached $210 million.
The government is urged to enhance the shelf life of onions to capitalize on these new opportunities.
